#7, DECEMBER 2015
COLLECTIViSM
Launch Date: 11 December | 6 - 9pm
The magazine aims to support events and happenings within the creative industry in and around Wolverhampton and the Midlands.
Good news to hear that John Bird has been appointed as a crossbencher to the House of Lords, and will work for "social opportunity and social justice". He set up The Big Issue in 1991 to "provide homeless and vulnerably housed people with the opportunity to earn a legitimate income."
Homelessness or a lack of a secure, safe home is an awful situation to be in, and at this time of year spare a thought for those who don’t have family/friends to be with. Buy a coffee and/or a sandwich for a homeless person and take the time to have a conversation. Show compassion and try to understand a little more.

If you see a Big Issue Seller, I encourage you to support this excellent social enterprise and you won’t be disappointed-it is a very good read.
Whatever your plans, have a peaceful season and take time to reflect and relax at this dark time of year. Try to think of others who may need a little love and kindness and give it freely.
We welcome in a New Year and everyone here wishes you a very Happy Yule.
