[Discursive Spaces]| H E L E N G R U N D Y
Exploring Heterotopias and how they contribute to or restrict [Discursive spaces]. These heterotopias or non-spaces will inform the research and the output of the final works. Six westmidlands based artists have been invited to contribute to the publication and a final group show at Wolverhampton Art Gallery to present a narrative between 'the in-between' and what that means in our current climate.

The current practice is driven by a desire to work with unusual materials and to create works that are surreal, provocative and humourous. Helen is fascinated by the phenomenon of nostalgia and its bittersweet effect on our senses. She feels that each artwork she makes is a souvenir from her life. Helen is currently exploring new directions with collage and trying to incorporate new materials and new processes.
