Statement:
Hyperutopianization The future is now. Hyperutopianization, the rapid onset of Utopia. Are we walking into the second Renaissance? Does it bring with it a dystopia more horrific than we have ever seen?Is Artificial Intelligence the key to this Utopia? Will it be used to enlighten or oppress us?Are we living in a simulation? Do None Player Characters exist? Jain McKay will be asking a number of artists to respond to the theme of Hyperutopianization to curate an exciting exhibition that stimulates discussion and promotes awareness in the viewer. How this imagining of the future gives us insight to our own nature and human leanings. To question actions and what future they will create.
The whole project will last one month at Asylum Gallery. The opening event is the 9th August and will be all my work, the show will then evolve and the closing party on the 30th August will include the work completed in the collaborations.
