Kristina Hall is a West Midlands based artist whose work centres around the encounters of objects, materials and spaces.
Using a painting practice as a starting point, her projects develop creative relationships, interactions and engagement as a means of building knowledge and a deeper understanding of the world around us.
In her current project, Nomadic Practice, Kristina is exploring how her studio practice relates to different spaces and environments whilst highlighting how cultural background and heritage influences meaningful making in a socially engaged practice.
By creating in various outdoor spaces, she is exploring tactile experiences, mutual belonging, as well as themes of sharing and community, where she uses her studio to reflect, find connections, patterns and bring the work together. For her first solo show with Asylum, Kristina will present a series of works inspired by her interactions and engagement with outdoor community spaces.
Throughout her exhibition, Kristina welcomes you to join her in the studio where you can discuss her current project, watch her work in situ and look at her recent pieces for the first time.
