In May, we mark the next stage of the ROUNDABOUT project and the end of the second artist residency by unveiling new work in the Chapel Ash underpass.
Funded by Arts Council England, Wolverhampton City Council and Art Gallery, and the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity fund, the ROUNDABOUT project has, so far, seen two residency artists work to create light and sculpture interventions across the site plus branding, soundscapes and gardening by two micro-commissioned artists.
On 19th May, you will have the chance to witness the unveiling of four galvanised steel sculptures or 'monuments' made by second residency artist Luke Perry in collaboration with members of the local community as well as the work by first residency artist David Checkley installed on lampposts for the first time.
